The original Spooool.com was set up in October 2011 by two movie nuts, Páraic McGeough and Nigel Wheatley, who at the time, were living in Dublin and Toronto respectively.
In December 2012 with both members of the union now living on Irish soil, Spooool.com was magically transformed into Spooool.ie. The site then began to focus on cinema from a uniquely Irish perspective and bring readers the news, reviews and features for the films that matter. Nowadays we’re mostly publishing a monthly podcast with occasional Irish film festival coverage, Best Ofs, and film reviews.
