Fury

Why? Brad Pitt. World War II. Again.

It feels like we’ve been hearing about Fury for a while now and yet it still sits atop my most-anticipated films of the remainder of the year. David Ayer is one of the most under-rated Hollywood directors and has brought us some of the best depictions of law enforcement officers – End of Watch and Training Day  – as well as the amusing Arnie misstep Sabotage.

He’s going back in time to World War II with Fury and has dragged along a ridiculously strong cast – Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña to name but a few. No word on whether Pitt will be just going for Lt. Aldo Raine 2.

Nigel

Nigel loves stupid films almost as much as he likes clever films. He'll watch anything but is usually drawn to documentaries, North American independent films, Irish cinema and gung-ho, balls-to-the-walls Hollywood blockbusters. Here's what he's been watching.
