What’s Worth Watching – March 2014

WhatsWorthWatching

Ah March. You open with the final nod to the great films of the last year with the Oscars and then throw lots of crap films at us. A look back at last year’s March lineup shows a lot of dross like G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Red Dawn and Identity Thief amidst the slighty better stuff like Robot & Frank, Compliance, Beyond the Hills, Arbitrage and Stoker. Go back through the years and you’ll struggle to find anything on peoples’ end of year lists from this month.

Anyway lets’ hope this year throws up a few pleasant surprises. We’ve already talked a little about films like Under the Skin, The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Past, so consider them “recommendations” of sorts too!

Nigel

Nigel loves stupid films almost as much as he likes clever films. He'll watch anything but is usually drawn to documentaries, North American independent films, Irish cinema and gung-ho, balls-to-the-walls Hollywood blockbusters. Here's what he's been watching.
