Clint Eastwood has directed a new film out this month and it’s an adaptation of the hit Broadway musical “Jersey Boys”.
I’ve no idea how I feel about the above fact.
Clint is no longer the sure-fit director he once was, having faltered a little with J. Edgar and a lot with Trouble With the Curve. Quite why he’s now opting to direct a musical biopic is anyone’s guess but if you strip away the schmaltz that comes with a Broadway adaptation, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons is actually quite compelling and should make for a good story. Plus it’ll be nice to see “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” on the big screen, right? Right?!
