With only 36hrs until Electric Picnic 2014 kicks off, we’ve got a nice bit of viewing for you this Thursday morning in the form of a rare music-related post from us here at Spooool.ie.
Heineken Ireland recently launched their Sound Atlas video project which aims to showcase “exciting, fresh and exuberant music scenes to bring them straight back to the music loving people of Ireland”. They kicked off last month with a look at Berlin and are now showcasing Brooklyn – that wonderfully iconic setting for films like Saturday Night Fever, last month’s podcast #20 focus Do The Right Thing and this Friday’s release Obvious Child – in a new short that’s embedded below. It’s a damn cool place and we are jealous of the attractive people who get to live there and go to gigs there. For a quick fix make sure to keep a look out for Heineken Ireland’s Brooklyn-themed base at this weekend’s Electric Picnic.
To experience the interactive version of this video and see the exclusive travel guide recommended by the people in the know visit soundatlas-ie.heineken.com. The video above features Irish export DJ/Producer Eamon Harkin, Brooklyn nightlife legend David Shapiro and weekly food market entrepreneur Eric Demby, all key influencers at the heart of Brooklyn’s thriving music scene.
