John C. Reilly – ever wondered what the “C” stands for?

John "Country" Reilly?

Jack White’s Third Man Records are releasing two singles from John C. Reilly, with the former White Stripes man producing and playing drums on the tracks.
The singles see Reilly teaming up with Becky Stark (pictured above) and Tom Brosseau on covers of “I’ll Be There If You Ever Want” and “Gonna Lay Down My Old Guitar”.

You can stream them over at the Third Man Records site, where Reilly is hardly the first unlikely candidate to get a release. Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert and Insane Clown Posse all showing up in their back catalogue. And we did of course see him don a guitar for 2007’s Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox story, the much-maligned but actually spot-on parody of biopics like Walk the Line and Ray.

*John C. Reilly’s middle name is actually Christopher

Nigel

Nigel loves stupid films almost as much as he likes clever films. He'll watch anything but is usually drawn to documentaries, North American independent films, Irish cinema and gung-ho, balls-to-the-walls Hollywood blockbusters. Here's what he's been watching.
