5) Berlin win for Irish film Lost in the Living

Congratulations to director Robert Manson and the team behind their feature Lost in the Living which received its world premiere and took home the best director gong at the “achtung berlin” – festival.

According to the blurb…

“Lost in the Living” follows a young man, Oisín (Tadhg Murphy), a musician from Dublin, who travels to Berlin with his band, and is buzzing with the potential for adventure. He leaves behind the weight of losing his mother and an anger towards his absent father.

No word on when the film will show up on Irish shores but here’s hoping the Galway Film Fleadh programmers are paying attention. The film also features the brilliant Irish band Squarehead FYI. Here’s director Rob with some flowers – gotta love the Germans!

Páraic wanted to be a gangster as far back as he can remember. Brought up on a diet of films he was too young to be watching by his brothers, all things 80s teens thanks to his sisters and the classics by his folks he's turned into a well-rounded (maybe a little too round) film lover. Only recently discovering North by Northwest, he longs for a train journey with a beautiful blond.
