1) Galway Film Fleadh 2015 Programme Launches

One of Spooool’s favourite times of the year is getting ever closer and the Galway Film Fleadh has only gone and released its fantastic programme.

Head on over to their spiffing website where they have conveniently broken it down to genre or day by day listings.

One highlight sticking out is I Am Belfast by the most knowledgeable man in cinema, Mark Cousins. Keep an eye on spooool as we’ll be travelling across to Galway in a few weeks time.

2) Jemaine Clement starring People Places Things has a trailer

This looks like a delightful little film starring Jemaine Clement with no release date as yet hopefully it’ll be hitting our screens soon.

3) Films You’d Love Your Kids To See at the Light House Cinema

Films Youd Love

The Light House Cinema are always putting on great seasons and giving the people what they want and I must say this latest one may be their best yet.

Simply reading the list of films on show has given me goosebumps and a flood of memories are coming back. So join me and no doubt countless other big kids and little ones for this brilliant season of films which kicks off on July 8th with E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. A full list can be found here.

4) Corin Hardy’s The Hallow Trailer

This is Corin Hardy’s first feature film and he’s decided to tackle Irish legends having a couple with a small child face off against a series of creatures living in the woods. We’ll get to see the results come November but the trailer does look promising.

Páraic wanted to be a gangster as far back as he can remember. Brought up on a diet of films he was too young to be watching by his brothers, all things 80s teens thanks to his sisters and the classics by his folks he's turned into a well-rounded (maybe a little too round) film lover. Only recently discovering North by Northwest, he longs for a train journey with a beautiful blond.
