TAKE TWO: Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger, Tribute to Hayao Miyazaki & more

1) Black Mass New Trailer

black mass

Johnny Depp plays Whitey Bulger in this latest true life story about one of America’s most notorious gangsters. It seems like it’ll be a standard affair with the usual macho male posturing. We’ll get to see it come November.

2) How many Superhero Movies?

The folks over at have come with a nifty little calculator for realising how many comic book movies will be made before you die. Thankfully I will only be subjected to 299! With 32 more Avenger films. Check it out.

3) Spotlight Trailer

Can you say Oscar Buzz? Here is the first trailer for Tom McCarthy’s Spotlight.

The film is based on the true story of The Boston Globe’s Pulitzer-winning investigation into clerical child sex abuse in Boston. It stars Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Michael Keaton, Liev Schreiber and Stanley Tucci. It’s directed by Tom McCarthy who is best known for helping come up with the story for Up and playing Scott Templeton in HBO’s “The Wire”.

4) 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi Trailer

13 hours

Let’s play a game, try and guess the director for this new film. You’ve got 1 minute and 50 seconds before it’s shown on the screen and if it takes you that long you probably have never seen any of their films. Coming some time next year.
