1) Hollywood Solves Sexism

solves sexism

Alison and Gaby of “Just Between Us” YouTube channel fame have done a video entitled “Hollywood Solves Sexism” and it’s well worth a gander.

In conjunction with Field Day, another YouTube channel. On Field Day each week, a creative type creates their own video.

2) Jennifer Lawrence asks why is she paid less then men?

Jennifer Lawrence penned a letter for Lenny, an e-mail newsletter from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner. In it she asks why has she gotten much less money than her male counterparts who appeared in the same movie with equal screen time. It’s a great funny self deprecating letter. You should subscribe to read but it’s free and a cool site. SO DO IT.

4) A Very Murray Christmas

I know I know Halloween isn’t even over and people are talking about Christmas. Yet this is exciting news… Netflix will be showing “A Very Murray Christmas” which will show Bill Murray in an all-star musically-driven holiday special.

Set inside New York City’s iconic Carlyle hotel, “A Very Murray Christmas” opens with Murray preparing to host a live, international holiday broadcast. After a blizzard shuts down the production, he makes the best of the situation by singing and celebrating with friends, hotel employees and anyone else who drops by. Looks like lots of fun and it has been directed by Sofia Coppola. Count us in. We can watch it from Dec 4th!

Páraic wanted to be a gangster as far back as he can remember. Brought up on a diet of films he was too young to be watching by his brothers, all things 80s teens thanks to his sisters and the classics by his folks he's turned into a well-rounded (maybe a little too round) film lover. Only recently discovering North by Northwest, he longs for a train journey with a beautiful blond.
