1) The Kerry Film Festival is next week

Maureen O'Hara at the Kerry Film Festival

The 14th Kerry Film Festival will take place from the 8th to the 12th of October and the programme has lots in store for film fans. While the majority of the action takes place in Tralee there are screenings of some bigger American films in Listowel, Kenmare and Waterville. The festival also boasts The Maureen O’Hara award (she’s pictured above) for outstanding women in film with this years recipient being Consolata Boyle the costume designer.
