We’re packing our bags for the west as we preview what’s coming to the 30th Galway Film Fleadh with some thoughts on Don’t Go, Damsel, The Eyes of Orson Welles, Katie, For Vagina’s Sake, Captain Morten And The Spider Queen and the IFB Shorts programme.
Elsewhere box office taking have been way down this summer because of the World Cup, but what’s in the cinema for when it’s all done and dusted and football comes home?
And of course we’ve got the regular business of in-cinema reviews for Leave No Trace, The Legacy of a Whitetail Hunter (which is only on Netflix!), Kissing Candice, Dublin Old School, Tag, Hereditary, and Ocean’s 8. We’re yet to see The First Purge, Sicario 2, Adrift, The Endless or The Incredibles 2.
And there’s a few words on upcoming releases Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Far on Foot, Skyscraper and Mission Impossible – Fallout.
And because MI6 is out, we wrap up with a rewind look back at Brian de Palma’s 22-year-old Mission Impossible effort.
